Version 1.0 (9/9/97)
Uh...first released version...revised everything...or rather, devised...
Version 1.1 (9/15/97)
New Feature: You can now enter the filename using a command line argument.
Note: This is the only argument this program will accept at this time, and
probably the only one it ever will. :-) (i.e. "p2edit game00.iff")
Documentation updated.
Adding the ability to remove undesired equipment. This feature should be
working by version 1.2.
Well, it seems like the editor decided to mess with me on the release...
Meaning that it didn't work. A player sent me an e-mail about not being
able to use the ships or equipment... I've found the problem, and hopefully
it won't come back again. If it does, send me the offending savegame via
e-mail, and I'll find out why. (This meaning I hope it will be a different
error next time!)
Version 1.1 (Not changing the revision number for this one!) (9/17/97)
The problem wasn't totally fixed after all... I decided to take another
test run at it, since it had some problems, and I discovered that I was
adding when I should have been subtracting. The problem is now forever
eliminated. Thanks Origin for having such a devious save file...I'm sure
you know what I am talking about... The extra space after some save names...
I've learned a lot from you guys already...
The reason this doesn't get a new version number, is because I don't
have the version 1.2 features done yet, so I don't want to have to correct
myself. ;-) (See above...it would be version 1.3 that the features would
make it, instead of 1.2...)
Version 1.2
I've added a menu of the savegames to make it easier for some of you
to open the file you want. Commandline arguments still work...and they
always will. (I spent a lot of hours on that code...I'm not throwing it
away!)
The ability to remove equipment is finally here!
I also decided to add the ability to change which save file you are
working with while you are still in the editor. Before, you had to quit
from the editor, and load it again. Took too long.
